HOME OF THE BRUINS
Easton Stadium was opened on February 19th, 1994 and has since been the home of UCLA Bruins for the last 12 seasons. Newly redesigned in 2004-2005, Easton Stadium now features seating for 1,328 fans, sunken dugouts, batting cages, a 28-foot electronic scoreboard and message center, a concession stand, a team clubhouse and permanent public bathrooms. Upon completion of these renovations Easton Stadium has truly become one of the most beautiful and state-of-the-art facilities in all of college softball. There is not a more storied stadium in college softball, evidenced by the 11 National Championship banners that are displayed along the outfield wall. In fact the stadium itself is as much the home field for UCLA Softball as it is a monument to the success of past players and coaches. The stadium is named for famed sports apparel and equipment manufacturer and former Bruin (class of ’59) James L. Easton, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Jas D. Easton Inc. It was his generous donation to UCLA athletics that allowed for the creation of Easton Stadium. |
